It was dawn when she knelt
on the side of the bed
Praying to the God above
Not to take her only son
away from her.
She prayed to God
with all her heart
A prayer of mercy
A prayer of forgiveness
A prayer for her son
Her pride and joy.
O Lord, my God, my savior
Please spare my one and only son
Let him live, a full life filled
With a bright future.
For I am not ready
To let him go
To lose him to
The angel of death.
She saw God's work at hand
When her son opened his eyes
She knelt again to thank God
praising His love, thanking Him
For the miracle that He has given her.
For God is the God of wonder
Who is merciful and kind
Who gave her back her one and only son.

Pondering on life beyond the living
Wishing in what life could be
If we have time to do everything,
time to be what we want to be.
 Life beyond the living
How everything we do in this world
Leads us to a world beyond

A World without God

It's the fulfillment of injustice
The hatred of the world
Its people and their social beings
Their wickedness to each other
The life of temptations and sins
Subjecting their own morality
It's what we call life
without love
Joy
Happiness
And fulfillment
It's what we call living without God.

The Mirror of Life

She was born and raised
in unfortunate circumstances
She looked at herself in the mirror
Not daring to see her true self
Looked at all her surroundings
Not daring to see
her real life
To see
her own reality
Living in a world filled with cruelty
A world filled with sadness
Questioning herself more than once
How her life came to be
What she had done
 to deserve it all
In her reflection the girl came
to realize
somewhere
out there
someone
is watching over her.
Looking at her reflection
she came to accept
the life she lives
She came to take
each day
one day at a time.
